Food Safety and Allergen Notice

Labels come first

Read each package’s ingredient, allergen, use-by and safe-handling information. Sausages, seasoned or processed products may contain additional ingredients. Do not assume a product or facility is allergen-free. Ask us about a specific product before purchase if you have an allergy; recipe ideas are not ingredient or allergen guarantees.

Cold storage and transport

Keep perishable food cold and refrigerate or freeze it promptly. Use an insulated cooler for pickup or drops. USDA guidance calls for shipped perishables to arrive frozen, with ice crystals, or refrigerator-cold (40°F or below). If a shipment arrives above 40°F, do not eat or taste it; contact us. Follow current USDA advice for storage, thawing and safe internal cooking temperatures.

Safe preparation

Keep raw meat separate from ready-to-eat food, clean hands and surfaces, and use a food thermometer. Color alone does not establish doneness. People at higher risk of foodborne illness should take particular care. See USDA food safety guidance for product-specific instructions.

Concerns and recalls

Stop using a product that may be unsafe. Keep the label/lot number if safely possible and contact us. We may use order contact details to communicate food-safety notices or recalls. These are service messages and are separate from promotional email.
